The service we received was beyond poor almost non-existent. We did not receive our cornbread, and had sides missing as well. In the very beginning we had a full cup of water spill, which we had to clean ourselves. We alerted staff, and waited for a mop bucket or help. We did not receive anything they went back to their regular routine and would glance at us otherwise ignoring us. I then had to go to the restroom to get paper towels to clean the mess and had another patron come give us napkins. The water was not replaced until I asked a third time and held the cup for her to take. At the end we waited to talk to the manager so our meals wouldn't be compromised. I figured the manager would show concern, and let us know she'll take care of it. Instead we had a meal comped and she didn't care to know which waitresses were at fault when we tried to explain it was multiple who saw us and did not come to help.
I was in the store to buy a card and remembrance today! Love CB cards! I was greeted by Jan Huckaby and she straighted merchandise while I looked. (Love not having a pushy employee following me around. I found a dress on sale that I am going back to buy tomorrow. Hopefully it will still be there. I always love eating there, too!
Typical Cracker Barrel fare. Reliable quality and usual service. Stopped for food on return to home from holiday. Daughter loves the peg game and sweet tea. I'm in for the pancakes and best syrup. Only chain to use real maple syrup.
We arrived at this Cracker Barrel at 8:30 to get a table for ten. Not even have the restaurant was filled but we had to wait over 15 minutes for a table. Once we were headed to our table, with our hostess, we had to stand in the walkway to wait for our table to be cleaned. Not to mention the countless other empty tables filled with trash from previous customers. We were seated and had our drinks brought out promptly. We all ordered our food and my dad was told they didn't have the prime rib sandwich which was on special. Ok, one thing not available. That's understandable. We're waiting for food and the waitress comes out to tell me and my brother in law that they are out of mashed potatoes. Like, come on. 5 minutes later, manager comes out to tell us they're out of dumplings as well as white gravy for my dad's chicken fried steak. My nephew received fried fish rather than chicken, the grits were awful and I barely had 3 bites of roast beef on my plate which we paid 11 dollars for. This experience was more than disheartening and this restaurant needs to do better. Do not stay open if you cannot serve your customers and cannot handle your restaurant at half capacity. Also, after all of this, not a single thing on our bill was comped or even offered to be discounted. Cracker Barrel, get it together. Seriously.
I love Cracker Barrel, but this one had the best service of any I have visited, and I’ve been to several. Everyone went out of their way to extend the highest quality food and service.
